Purpose and scope
Xhjili maintains an AML/KYC framework designed to prevent the use of its platform for money laundering or financing of illicit activity. This policy governs all accounts, registrations, transactions and activities conducted on or through the Xhjili platform and applies to every customer, agent and service provider acting on behalf of Xhjili.
Governance and compliance framework
Xhjili designates an AML Officer responsible for the oversight of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing controls, the implementation of the policy, and the internal dissemination of procedures. The AML Officer ensures ongoing monitoring, periodic review of controls, and timely cooperation with competent authorities as required by applicable law. The policy, including risk assessment methods and procedures, is reviewed at least annually and updated as necessary in light of new products, technologies, payment methods, or material changes in customer demographics.
Customer identification and verification (KYC)
On registration, Xhjili collects mandatory information intended to establish the customer’s identity and risk profile. The information includes, at minimum: full legal name, date of birth, country of residence, residential address, valid contact details, a valid government-issued identification document number, and relevant payment information. The customer warrants that all information supplied is true and accurate. Xhjili reserves the right to close or suspend an account if any information is determined to be false, misleading, or unverifiable after verification checks.
- Identity documentation may include a passport, national identity card, or other government-issued ID. Address verification may require a recent utility bill or bank/official correspondence in the customer’s name and at the listed residential address.
- Verification is mandatory before processing withdrawals or engaging in financial transactions beyond defined thresholds, and as otherwise required by internal risk assessments.
Age and eligibility
Participation is limited to individuals aged 18 years or older. Xhjili conducts age verification as part of the onboarding process. If age verification fails or reveals ineligibility, account creation or access to funds will be denied or reversed in accordance with applicable laws and internal policies.
Payouts, payment verification, and ongoing identity checks
To initiate payouts, customers must complete identity and address verification. Specifically, customers may be required to upload a government-issued ID and a recent utility bill. Payouts are processed only after successful review of submitted documents. Where necessary, Xhjili may request additional documentation to confirm the user’s right to use the payment method and to verify the source of funds.
Risk-based approach and customer risk profiling
Xhjili employs a risk-based framework to categorize customers and transactions. Risk indicators include, but are not limited to, country of residence, country of issuing payment cards, IP address history, and transaction frequency or value. Higher-risk customers may face enhanced scrutiny, temporary deposit restrictions, or additional verification steps.
Ongoing monitoring and behavior analysis
Customer activity, profile data, and transactional behavior are continuously monitored. Suspicious or unusual activity triggers an internal review and possible escalation to the AML Officer and, where appropriate, to the relevant authorities. All reports of suspicious activity are prepared and filed in accordance with applicable laws without disclosure to the customer where required.
Sanctions, PEP screening and third-party reliance
Onboarding and ongoing operations include screening against global sanctions lists and public PEP databases. Xhjili may rely on sanctioned or verified third-party service providers only under controlled contracts and with audit trails to ensure ongoing compliance. When a customer is identified as a PEP or presents other elevated risk, enhanced scrutiny is applied as part of the due diligence process.
Record retention and confidentiality
All KYC, identity, transaction, and related documentation are securely retained for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of the last interaction or completion of the business relationship, whichever is later. Access to such information is restricted to authorized personnel. Suspicious activity reports and internal decision-making records are kept confidential and may be shared with competent authorities as required by law. Customers are not informed of AML investigations or internal reviews as a matter of policy unless disclosure is compelled by law.
Account integrity and restrictions
Customers may only maintain a single Xhjili Member Account. The creation or maintenance of duplicate accounts is prohibited. If a duplicate or multiple accounts are discovered or suspected, Xhjili may close the affected accounts and void bets or winnings at its discretion. Higher-risk accounts may be subject to automatic deposit limitations or temporary lockouts pending verification.
Information security, training, and governance
All personnel involved in compliance, financial operations, or customer support receive ongoing AML/KYC training addressing red-flag indicators and regulatory requirements. The AML Officer oversees policy governance, internal communications, and updates to procedures in response to regulatory changes or emerging threats.
Policy availability and regulator cooperation
A concise version of this policy is available to customers for transparency. The full AML/KYC Policy can be provided upon legitimate request by regulators, licensing authorities, or other authorized institutional stakeholders. Requests for the full policy should be directed to the Compliance Department.
Policy updates and effective date
Xhjili reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated to customers in a timely manner. Continued use of the platform after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
